I met with representatives of the Big Lottery Fund to discuss their work in Newcastle East. Over the last three months, the Big Lottery Fund has announced over £260,000 of funding towards six projects in our constituency. I applaud the work that the Big Lottery Fund does distributing funds to a range of projects. However, I am keen to see that Newcastle and the North East gets a fair deal and that the level of funding represents the money raised by the Lottery in the region.
