Two students from Newcastle University  were presenting their research projects as part of the annual national Posters in Parliament event. This event celebrates the innovative academic research being completed by undergraduate students across the country. Both Owen Coughlan (BA in Franch and History) and Connor Gilkes-Imeson (Msci in Biomedical Sciences) had done fantastically well to have their work be selected to be a part of the event. Owen’s research is on Moroccan miners and strikes in the Nord-Pasde-Calais mining region, while Connor’s work is focused on ovarian cancer. It was interesting to hear about their research and both are excellent representatives of our city’s student community.
