Newcastle Upon Tyne East and Wallsend constituency is made up of the following Council wards: Byker, Dene, North Heaton, South Heaton, Walker and Walkergate within the Newcastle Council area; and Northumberland and Wallsend wards in the North Tyneside Council area.

Following boundary changes, Nick Brown will be standing as a candidate for the new constituency of Newcastle East at the next General Election. The new constituency will no longer cover the North Tyneside wards, but will include North Jesmond, South Jesmond and Ouseburn wards towards Newcastle city centre.
