I attended a WWF event in Parliament to raise awareness about Earth Hour, which took place on Saturday 24 March. Earth Hour is a global campaign which encourages millions of people all over the world to switch off their lights and organise events in support of taking action on climate change.

Environmental issues such as pollution and rising temperatures pose serious threats that must be addressed. I would urge this Government to take greater action in these areas and applaud the work of organisations such as the WWF to raise the profile of these issues.
