Armed Forces Day was on Saturday 30th June this year. Introduced by the Labour Party in 2006, Armed Forces Day is an opportunity to celebrate the work of our service personnel, veterans, cadets and service families. The Labour Party has been clear that the current Government is failing our armed forces on pay and housing, while also ignoring the recruitment and retention crisis. A Labour Government would recognise that personnel are at the heart of our nation’s defence by giving our armed forces the better deal they deserve.
