The Love Our Colleges Week ran between 15 and 19 October, raising the profile of further education with events running in colleges across the country. I supported the campaign, which aims to highlight the work that goes on in our colleges and secure sustainable investment. Over the past eight years, the Further Education sector has faced continuous cuts of more than a quarter. More investment in our colleges is important for improving skills and transforming communities into productive hubs of economic activity. Labour is committed to introducing free, lifelong education in Further Education colleges, enabling everyone to upskill or retrain at any point in life.
