Congratulations to Keir Starmer on being elected as Leader of the Labour Party and to Angela Rayner on being elected Deputy Leader of the Labour Party. Keir has reappointed me as Chief Whip to the Parliamentary Labour Party. I regard it as a real privilege to have served Jeremy Corbyn as his Chief Whip. It was not something that I was expecting to be asked to do. Jeremy’s leadership enabled the Labour Party to rediscover its radicalism, to gain a mass membership base and to ignite the passion and enthusiasm of many on the left of British Politics.
