Labour has continued to hold the Government to account in Parliament over their poor handling of the Coronavirus pandemic. The Prime Minister has failed to deliver on his promises of a ‘world-beating’ testing system and is struggling to get the basics right. As more people return to their workplace, children get
back to school and thousands of students get ready to return to Newcastle for university it is as important as ever that people have access to quick, reliable testing.
I was on the Opposition Frontbench to support Keir Starmer at Prime Ministers Questions. During his exchange with Boris Johnson he said that the Government must take responsibility for its failings and focus on fixing the problems with the test, track and isolate system as a matter of urgency.
