Further to my meetings with Winton Keenen, Chief Constable of Northumbria Police and representatives of the universities I continue to engage with stakeholders about concerns over antisocial behaviour in Jesmond. During the last month I met with more of the residents affected. I also visited Newcastle University to raise the concerns of residents directly with Professor Chris Day, Vice-Chancellor, Newcastle University. I will continue to monitor progress in dealing with anti-social behaviour in East Newcastle and will take up casework on behalf of constituents who are affected.
