I have received a reply from the government in response to representations I made on behalf of constituents who live in St Ann’s Quay. The owners, tenants and leaseholders are left in a precarious position while they wait for a decision from the government on whether they are eligible for the Building Safety Fund. I believe the government must treat fire safety issues with more urgency. In the meantime, I am continuing to take up casework on behalf of my constituents who are impacted by unsafe cladding.
