I am pleased that Kim Leadbeater has been elected as Batley and Spen’s new MP. It was a difficult and divisive byelection. The result in Batley shows that Boris Johnson’s Tories can be beaten. I am confident Kim will be a formidable champion for her constituency and I am looking forward to working with her.
