I marked UK Wind Week by meeting with representatives from the sector in Parliament. I heard about the success of onshore, offshore and floating wind energy generation and the potential the sector has to go much further this decade.

The North East of England is already a leader in offshore wind technology. As well as providing a clean source of energy, the further development of the sector has the potential to significantly increase our domestic export market for offshore wind products and services.
