Sue Gray provided an update on her report into rule-breaking in Downing Street. Ms Gray looked at 16 incidents of social gatherings at Downing Street although she was limited in what she was able to say by the Metropolitan Police’s investigation. Despite its limitations, the document is damning for the Prime Minister. It concludes that some of the behaviour at Downing Street “is difficult to justify” when other frontline workers across the country “were working under equally, if not more, demanding conditions”. He should resign.
