On this year’s World Cancer Day I reaffirm my support for Maggie’s Newcastle. They are an independent charity located alongside the Freeman hospital that provide free support to those suffering with cancer and their friends and families. Maggie’s provide workshops, courses, one-to-one and group support to help people to change the way they live with cancer. The centre focuses on a number of issues that can make a real difference to the lives of sufferers including money worries, help with stress and depression, managing side effects and relationship and family support.
